The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, when Stratford Police officers located the stolen vehicle as it was being driven through the Home Depot parking lot on Barnum Avenue, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
The juvenile operator struck another vehicle as he refused to stop for officers and fled the area at a high rate of speed into Milford, Eannotti said.
Officers maintained contact with the fleeing operator and the juvenile suspect ultimately crashed on Main Street and Cutspring Road in Stratford where he was quickly taken into custody for his offenses, he added.
The juvenile was charged with reckless endangerment, larceny, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, evading responsibility, driving without a license, failure to stop a vehicle, engaging police in a pursuit.
The juvenile was remanded to custody by court order.
